Presented by the Gold Coast City Council Library Services, this free one-hour workshop will be held on Thursday 31 July 2014 at Robina Library from 10am to 11am, and led by KATHY STEWART , author of Self-Editing Your Novel. Kathy owns and runs Authors’ Ally, an editing service situated on the Gold Coast, Australia. She has always been passionate about writing and has worked as a professional editor since 2004. Many of the books she has worked on are now selling in bookstores and online and many others are in the pipeline. She has written a number of full-length manuscripts herself and was lucky enough to have her first polished works, The Chameleon Factor and Race Against Time, shortlisted and longlisted respectively for the Crime Writers Association Debut Dagger Award in the UK in 2010. She has published a number of short story books, amongst which are the Ten Hands Writing series, Over to You, and Star Turn and Other Stories. Her books, Chameleon, Self-Editing Your Novel, and Betty Bee’s Garden Adventure are all available on Amazon. Kathy was vice-president of the Gold Coast Writers Association in 2012 and co-organiser of the Gold Coast Writers Festival in 2011 and 2012. She is currently a co-convenor of Gold Coast Writers’ Workshops.
